Anastasis Gouliaris was born in Athens in 1980. He started studying drums at the Peristeri Municipality Conservatory. From 2000 to 2004 he collaborated with the band Avaton. He is a studied drums with Nikos Sidirokastritis and jazz / improvisation with Sylvios Syrros. He has also received private lessons by Adam Nussbaum, Mark Guiliana and Billy Hart.

He has collaborated with Music Soup, Yiannis Konstantinidis, Giorgos Mikros, Andreas Papagiannakopoulos, Fenia Papadodima and more musicians of the Greek jazz scene. He is also a member of the Athenaeum Conservatory faculty.
