On the ocassion of the 8th Syros Jazz Festival and with the purpose to expand creativity and discover new forms of expression between music and design, the first year students of the University of the Aegean (Department of Product and System Design Engineering), were invited to design artworks inspired by jazz music.
Under the guidance of their teachers Florentia Ikonomidou and Elsa Charalampous the students created trully unique artworks, combining a sense of history and a taste of modernism with their personal imagination and characteristics as well. Their work was exhibited during the Syros Jazz Festival in printed form in Plastico Cafe, at Hermoupolis in their original format and through a projector at the Chroussa open venue at which the concerts were held.
