Rothschild Hannah
Η βαρόνη της τζαζ (The Baroness: The Search for Nica the Rebellious Rothschild)
The impressive, dynamic Panonica - known as Nica - was born in 1913, a descendant of the privileged and eccentric Rothschild family, who in just five generations had acquired untold wealth, left behind the Jewish ghetto of Frankfurt and scattered throughout Europe.
At the end of World War II, Nica seemed to have everything: children, a charming husband and a great legacy.
When she listened to Thelonius Monk playing "Round Midnight" in the early 1950s, she abandoned her husband and followed Thelonius to New York, where her friendships with jazz musicians made her famous. Her great love, however, was Monk, whom she cared for until his death.

Hannah Rothschild's book (1962), a descendant of Rothschild family herself, was published in 2012 by Virago. The Greek translation is by Vana Avgerinou.
