This exhibit, titled "Jazz in Cyprus", is dedicated to the artists from Cyprus and the discography they have created. Jazz took its first steps in Cyprus in the 60's, enriching the dance music of the time with new sounds. Nowadays the island has a rich and active scene that consists of experienced musicians who have studied abroad and which is constantly enhanced with new talents.
Jazz Library searched and began writing down the artists from Cyprus who are involved in jazz music. Of course, there are many more, this is just a beginning, the collection doesn't have an end but it is a dynamic system where more and more musicians play, interact and create jazz music everyday.
