Greg Makamian is a double bassist, bandleader and composer from Cyprus. He is dedicated to spreading classic jazz and perfecting the art of the arco bass solo. He is also the leader of the band Mood Indigo.

He has performed with the legendary Freddie Redd and has also played with musicians such as: Chris Byars, Pasquale Grasso, Zaid Nasser, Peter & Will Anderson, Keith Balla, Phil Stewart, Ofer Landsberg, Stefano Doglioni, Charis Ioannou, John Mosca and many others.

Among the venues he has performed at are: Smalls Jazz Club (NY), Fat Cat (NY), Garage (NY), Apollon Theater (Syros, GR) the Aphrodite Hills Jazz Festival (CY), Pomos Jazz festival (CY), Rialto Theatre (CY), and the Ancient Amphitheater at Kurion (CY).
