Sotiris Lemonidis
Sotiris Lemonidis was born in Xanthi. He started piano lessons at the age of 10. He continued and completed his studies in piano and advanced theory with a scholarship in Athens.
There he began his career as a musician, composer and arranger, along with the biggest names in the Greek music scene.
He has collaborated, among others, with leading composers and singers, such as: Haris Alexiou, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Alkinoos Ioannidis, Socratis Malamas and many others.
He participates in various groups: Lemoncello with cellist Yiorgos Kaloudis, Camvas with Michael Kapilidis and Yiorgos Kaloudis and Nouveau Sextet with Thomas Constantinou, Costas Meretakis, Dimitris Tsakas, Kostas Konstantinou and Alexandros Arkados.
He has worked in theatrical and television productions, collaborating with many actors and directors such as: Costas Gavras, Lakis Lazopoulos, George Kimoulis, Antonis Kafetzopoulos and others.He has participated in many festivals and performances in Europe, America and Australia, collaborating with renowned artists of the international music scene (Dulce Pontes, Night Ark, etc.), in recordings and performances in Central Park, New York, with collaborators of Cesaria Evora and the Afro Celt Sound System, as well as Senegalese composer Ismael Lo and Italian Vinicio Capossela. He also participates in two productions of Peter Gabriel's company, Real World.
His first solo album, the solo "Piano seasons" was released in 2016.
