Pliatsikas Leonidas was a college graduate from the Roterdam Music Academy (Holland) in the field of percussion with specialization in jazz big band, latin jazz and fusion. Among others he attended classes from Fred Krens, Peter Yrma, Steve Boston, Rob Van Der Linden και Jaz Hartong.

Returning to Greece he became a founding member of the Iskra with which they released the album "Νew day" in 1986.
He has collaborated with many Greek artists such as: Thanos Mikroutsikos, Dimitris Zafirelis, Takis Barberis, Haris Alexiou, Lena Platonos, Vasilis Papakonstantinou, Thesia Panagiotou, Takis Paterelis, George Kontrafouris, David Lynch and others.

He worked for the ERT Music ensembles and he was a member of the groups Apurimac and Tierra Brava.

He died in March 2023.
