Spyros Manesis, Arion Gyftakis and Anastasis Gouliaris met in 2012. From the beginning there was a unique chemistry between them that has been developing ever since through live performances in jazz clubs and jazz festivals throughout Greece and the rest of Europe.

In 2017 they released their debut album "Spiral Trio" mostly made up of jazz standards and in 2021 the trio recorded its second album presenting original compositions of its members. The album was released in 2022.

Spiral trio is a contemporary jazz group which has been inspired by great figures of modern piano trio formation, still though keeping clear references to the tradition of jazz playing. It is noteworthy to point out that the high level of their musical and improvisation skills - combined with the continuous interplay between them - highlight their music with elements of surprise, a variety in the creation of musical images and imagination in the narration.
