The Dark Impulse Trio was formed in 2014, by Apostolis Kyriakos (electric guitar), Thanos Bekas (electric bass) and Spiros Ekonomopoulos (drums).

The band's music combines elements of the wide jazz gamut, the blues, be-bop and hard bop, modal and latin jazz and its repertoire includes covers of well-known jazz tunes and original compositions.

The debut album of Dark Impulse Trio, entitled "Α Fake Romance", was released in 2017.
