Balaouras Christos has graduated from the Music Department of the Ionian University, specializing in jazz guitar. He has also obtained a diploma in classical guitar, harmony and counterpoint from the Municipal Conservatory of Arta. During his studies at the Ionian University and later as well, he attended seminars with well-known and experienced musicians of the international jazz scene. 

After his graduation, Christos Balaouras moved to Athens and created his own band, playing at the same time as a sideman with other groups. He has worked with important musicians of the Greek jazz scene suc as with George Kontrafouris, Dimitris Tsakas, Jennie Kapadai and the Cypriot saxophonist Charis Ioannou, along with many others.
