Jennie Kapadai
Jennie Kapadai was born and raised in Athens. She studied classical piano and music theory at the National Conservatory and then musicology and sociology at the Athens College.
Since the '90s she has become a member of many active bands (Blues Trick, Occasional Dream, Blues Wire, Funkollectiv, Groovebusters, etc.) and has participated in recordings in various music genres (Papercut, Earthbound, Expert Medicine, Lowtronik, Thee Holy Strangers, Simon Bloom and many more). She has shared the stage with acclaimed greek jazz artists, such as George Kontrafouris, Christos Rafailides, Dimitris Kalantzis, Vasso Dimitriou, Dimitri Vassiliakis, as well as with many younger musicians.
She has performed in small and big venues and festivals in Greece, Cyprus, Luxemberg etc. as a leader or as a member of other projects (The Blues Wire-Story of the Blues, Athens Big Band, Beatles Tribute Band με την Ορχήστρα Νυκτών Εγχόρδων Πάτρας, Papercut, Jennie Kapadai Quartet etc.).
She teaches at Lab Athens.
