Dimitris Tsekouras was born in Athens in 1985. He grew up in an artistic environment, since his father is a pianist and his mother a contemporary dance teacher. He received piano and violin lessons and started playing bass, drums and guitar.
He studied classical double bass at the Athens Conservatory with Tassos Kazaglis and photography at the TEI of Athens.

He has participated in many concerts and recordings in Greece and abroad. He has collaborated with artists such as Nikos Xydakis, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Vasilis Rakopoulos and many more.

He is a member of the Encardia, the Harris Lambrakis Quartet and the Sokratis Sinopoulos Quartet. He also works with its own band Plasmawine.
