Thanos Hatzianagnostou
Thanos Hatzianagnostou was born in Volos in 1983. He started drums lessons at the age of 13 and his first group was the local metal band Rafferty Rules, with which he released three albums and performed around Greece.
In 2005 he relocated in Athens and studied at the Modern Music School with Nikos Sidirokastritis. He graduated with a drums diploma in 2007.
In 2010 he and vocalist Irini Konstantinidi formed the Wonderfall Quartet, a band that released two albums. Then he formed his own quartet and released his debut album as a leader “Crowdead Cities” in 2017.
He has collaborated with many Greek jazz musicians (George Kontrafouris, Vasilis Rakopoulos, Takis Paterelis, Yiotis Kiourtsoglou, Dimitris Kalantzis, etc.) and also with popular artists such as Maria Farantouri, Foivos Delivorias and Pantelis Thalassinos.
