Nikos Sidirokastritis

Nikos Sidirokastritis was born in Athens in 1963. He studied with Nikos Korantzinos at the percussion school of Athens Conservatory, music theory and counterpoint with Vagelis Kokkoris and drums with Yiannis Floros. In the '80s he was a member of the rock group Morel. He has collaborated with acclaimed composers, musicians and groups in Greece and abroad.
Along with Xrysostomos Boukalis and Kostas Yaxoglou he formed the B.Y.S. Trio, a Charlie Haden tribute project. He is also a member of the Harris Lambrakis Quartet and Nefalo Project and has taken part in many recordings.
