Costinho
Zouliatis Costis, also known as Costinho, was born in Athens. He studied at the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University, from where he obtained a phd degree in music studies.
He has formed and participates in various groups, such as The Rembetators, Paracroussisas and Night on Earth, with which he has released two albums. In 2014 he released his first personal album. At the same time he is a composer, an improvisor and educator. He has composed music for theatrical shows, performances, short movies and documentaries along with directing videos, music clips and documentaries.
He has appeared in many live performances, solo or with other musicians and he has also organised and taken part in various projects (ΝOIR, A tribute to Miltos Sachtouris). Also he was a member of the Free improvisation ensemble of the Ionian University, with which he has given important concerts (Savina Yiannatou, Joe Tornabene, Nikos Veliotis, Dimos Dimtriadis and more).
He has studied for many years the life and the work of Jani Christou. Moreover he has released many articles on the innovative music of the 20th century (Luigi Nono, Alban Berg, John Coltrane, after world war avant-garde).
