The co-operative music band Night On Earth was formed in Athens in 2004. It took its name from a movie by Jim Jarmusch called Night On Earth. The music of the group is characterised by a cinematic atmosphere and extensive improvisational compositions. 

The band performed in various music scenes of Athens as well as in other parts of Greece, being on tour and/or participating in festivals. It has worked together with acclaimed names, especially in concerts as a support group, such as with Baby Dee (Antony and the Johnsons, Current 93), Mecano, Gevende and Thanasis Papakonstantinou. Often during the lives the group combined music with video and elements from movies.

In 2007, as "In a silent way", the band went on tour around Greece with the song writer/ singer of the alternative scene Dayna Kurtz. It has also apperard in Berlin.

Night on Earth have released two albums.
