Alexios Antonopoulos was raised up in Germany, where he started piano lessons. He relocated in Greece and started playing the drums at the age of 14, under the guidance of Makis Siatras.

He graduated the department of German language at the Athens University and he studied drums at the Μodern Μusic School with Nikos Sidirokastritis. Then he studied jazz improvisation, piano and jazz theory at the Αthenaeum conservatory. Among his teachers were Sylvios Syrros, Yiorgos Mikros and Manos Theodosakis. He also studied traditional percussion with Vagelis Karipis.

He started playing professionally at the age of 17 and has collaborated with many artists. He is a founding member of the band Stratum3 with which he released the album "Pathfinder" in 2018.
