Tsalapatis Tasos was born in Athens in 1972. He started classic guitar and piano lessons from a young age. He moved on to learning electric guitar with Yiannis Drolopas as well as having jazz guitar lesson with Yiotis Samaras.

He has participated at the young musicians Biennale in Athens in 2001 and also he has attended seminars with Pat Mαrtino, John Scofield και Mike Stern. He has appeared many times with his quartet presenting his composotions in Athens and other cities of Greece.

His album "Heretopia" was released in 2011.
