Kostas Sapounis began his involvement with music at the age of 10, playing trumpet in the Karpenisi Municipality Philharmonic. He studied at the Department of Music Studies, EKPA. He continued with studies of jazz trumpet, modern theory and participation in music ensembles at the Art Music School of Yiorgos Fakanas.

Since then he has been working as a professional trumpet player taking part in many live performances and recordings.

Among others, he has participated in the performances "Operetta" at the National Theater, "Ploutos" at the Epidaurus Festival and "Spirtokuto" at the Stegi.

He has also collaborated with Yiannis Kassetas, Natassa Bofiliou, Diminuita Gypsy Swing, Usurum, Trio Katara, Gordy's Roster, Soulmates, Bejeezus, Lust call, etc.
