Spyros Rassias
Spyros Rassias was born and raised in Thessaloniki, where he began his musical studies. After completing a cycle of classical studies, both in piano and theory, and after coming into contact with various musical genres of Greek and foreign music, jazz finally won him over.
He studied with a scholaship at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, he completed his undergraduate program with various distinctions as well as important collaborations and festival appearances. He continued with the "Michel Camilo" scholarship from the same university in the Master program, while at the same time he worked at the university as a graduate assistant.
During his studies he shared the stage and apprenticed with jazz legends and contemporary world music in general, such as Victor Wooten, Laszlo Gardony, Perico Sambeat, Diego El Cigala, Abraham Laboriel, Jerry Bergonzi, Joanne Brackeen, Alain Perez, Ray Santisi and Danilo Perez.
He has recorded with many artists in Greece and abroad.
