Melina Paxinos

Melina Paxinos was born in Hamburg and she grew up listening to Manos Hatzidakis and rembetika. At the age of nine she gained a scholarship to study composition at the"Yamaha Music School Hamburg" where she began studying saxophone at the age of ten. Also, she studied music production - arranging and composition at SRH Hochschule der populaeren Kuenste in Berlin and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts.
Her debut album "Circle of Oddness" was recorded in Germany and it was released in 2018. "Athens" which was released in 2019 is dedicated to Athens.
As a composer she combines modern jazz with her greek roots.
