Kostas Kouvidis was born in Thessaloniki in 1976. He started studying drums at the Conservatory of Contemporary Music of Thessaloniki at a very early age. He received a scholarship and finished his studies in classical harmony and jazz in 1995.

The same year he won a scholarship from the Berklee College of Music and moved to Boston in 1996. He took music courses from top class musicians such as Ron Savage, Joe Hunt, Jackie Santos, Yoron Israel, Ron Mahdi etc. and graduated with a “Bachelor in music - major in performance” in 2001.

On his return to Greece he settled in Thessaloniki and in 2004 he moved to Athens. He became a founding member of the Out to Lunch Trio and started to perform at concerts and festivals. He was tragically lost in a car crash in Athens in 2007.
