Christos (Titos) Kalliris, one of the pioneering jazz guitarists in Greece, was born in Athens in 1934.

His professional involvement with music began at a very young age. He started playing with the band of his uncle Costas Bezos, who was an associate of Attik. He became a member of Vangelis Papathanassiou's Forminx and from 1965 he began collaborating with Mimis Plessas, participating in his jazz quartet with Nikos Lavranos, Stelios Vichos and Nikos Tsesmelis.

He has also participated in various light music orchestras, in the ERT light orchestra, in jazz bands and in many recordings, several of which are for the cinema.

He is the father of the popular singer Thanos Kalliris.

He died in 2013.
