Dallas Vasiis was born in Chrysorachi, Ioannina on 10th of August, 1949. At the age of 8, his family moved to Athens, and settled at Psirri, at the centre of the city, where he grew up. At the age of 14 he formed his own band creating on his own the instruments as well. Two years later he became a member of the MGC band. At the age of 18, along with Nikos Tsilogiannis they created the band "Bourboulia" and started collaborating with Dionysis Savvopoloulos. Pavlos Sidiropoulos (vocals), John Lambinski (guitar) joined the group and later on Nikos Daperis (guitar). 

Vasilis Dallas participated as a bassist at many albums of Dionysis Savvopoulos such as the "Perivoli tou trelou", "Ballos" etc. and at the album "Mikroastika" of Loukianos Kilaidonis. 

The group "Bourboulia" (Vasilis Dalas, Nikos Tsilogiannis, Pavlos Sidiropoulos, John Lambinski, Nikos Daperis) splitted up in 1973 and he moved to England. There, he worked with various groups. Since the beginning of the 70's, Vasilis Dallas and Pavlos Sidiropoulos had been learning next to the well-known composer Stefanos Vassiliadis with whom they participated at the album "Blood" (a free jazz, improvised music along with Greek tradition elements artwork). 

Coming back from England at the '80s he had to confront with the absence of audience in the Greek jazz scene. In 1988 he moved with his partner at Berlin, where he worked with many musicians coming from foreign countries. 
At the beginning of the 90's, being in Athens, he met with Thodoris Rellos, Grigoris Bellakis, Giannis Spyropoulos, Pantelis Benetatos and created the album "Acid Free" that was released in 1995. At the same time he composes hiw own music, some pieces of which were presented at the show "Classic Recordings" of the second program of the national television, in 1998. 

Vasilis Dallas died on the 21st of February, 1996 in Berlin.
