Chritos Chiras started playing music at the age of fourteen. He is self-taught in the bass and considers George Filippidis and Vasilis Dallas as his teachers.

At the end of the 70s he participated in the band SOS together with Tzimis Vatikiotis and Tassos Fotodemos. He has collaborated playing and recording with many well-known artists (Manolis Mikelis, Lakis Zois, George Trantalidis and many more). He has also collaborated with Dimitra Galani, Arleta etc.

He was a member of the band Pyros Ether with which he recorded the album of the same name.
