George Bandoek Apostolakis

George "Bandoek" Apostolakis was born in Thessaloniki. A mainstay of the Greek eighties indie scene, he made his recording debut with the indie-rock outfit Noise Promotion Company in 1986.

Between 1988 and 1995 he was living and working in London. From 1996 to 2004 he was a member of Blues Wire. In addition he took part in numerous jazz and improvisation projects, collaborating with artists such as Mihalis Siganidis and Sakis Papadimitriou.

In 2002 he joined the band of Thanasis Papakonstantinou. At that time he also started releasing solo albums. From 2007 he has been living in Finnish Lapland, working in music education and composing music for plays, performances and documentaries.

He has performed live in many countries.
