Yiannis Papadopoulos

Yiannis Papadopoulos was born in Athens in 1987. He graduated from the Music School of Palini. Then he studied jazz music at the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University with Dimitris Kalantzis, George Kontrafouris and Dimos Dimitriadis.
Since 2010 when he moved back to Athens he begun collaborating with most of the considerable Greek jazz musicians, as well as with international artists, such as J.D Walter, Manfred Schoof, Jean-Loup Lognon and Tivon Pennicott.
Yiannis Papadopoulos is a founding member of the Next Step Quintet.
His first personal album entitled "Mirrorself" was released in 2021.
