Elias Ioannou was born in Limassol. He studied music at Codarts University in Rotterdam, specializing in trumpet and jazz.

He has performed in various countries and festivals, among them is the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam, where he has performed three times in a row. In addition, he attends master classes with internationally renowned musicians such as Barry Harris, Joshua Redman, Snarky Puppy, Aaron Parks, while introducing himself to Latin improvisation alongside the famous trumpeter Amik Querra.

In recent years he has toured in the Netherlands and recorded with various jazz, latin, reggae and pop projects ending up again in his place of origin to teach trumpet and collaborate with various musical groups.
