Alexandros Drakos Ktistakis
Alexandros Drakos Ktistakis studied at the Jazz Department of Ionian University. He has collaborated with famous artists such as Anthony Jackson, Craig Handy, Bireli Lagrene, Mark Murphy and Miles Griffith and with many Greek artists.
He has performed at many venues in Greece and abroad (Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera, Teatro Principal Barcelona, Piccolo Teatro di Milano, Herodeion, Athens and Thessaloniki Music Halls).
He is the drummer of Athens Big Band, and some of his arrangements have been performed at Carnegie Hall, Piccolo Teatro, Herodeion, ancient Delos, etc. In 2015 he released his debut album as a leader, entitled "Tora".
He also curated and presented the TV show "Music Dialogues" with interviews and portraits of Greek jazz musicians.
He has taught at Ionian University and Filippos Nakas Conservatory and is the studies director at LAB Music Education and Irakleion LAB Music Education.
