Stefanos Dimitriou studied drums at the Athens Conservatory and has attended drum lessons with drummers such as Gary Novak, Will Kennedy and Alex Acuna. He has also attended seminars with Steve Gadd, Steve Smith, Thomas Lang, Dom Famularo, Horacio ''El negro'' Hermandez, Dave Weckl and more.

Among others he has collaborated with Vasilis Papakonstantinou, Mikis Theodorakis and George Dalaras.

He formed the band Loud Jazz and then became a member of Trias and released a live cd "Theatro". Later on he formed the band Power Trio with George Kiourtsoglou and Stavros Lantsias and was a member of the Yiorgos Fakanas group.

He is also an educator and clinician.
