Bassist Mihalis Kalkanis comes from a musical family, since his father was a pianist. He studied at the Hull University and his deput album "Scarborough Tales" (2010) was the final project for his master.

In his second album "World Echoes in Athens" he composed using immigrants' prayers recorded at various locations in Athens. These compositions were the soundtrack for the photo exhibition of Tasos Vretos entitled "T(r)opoi Latreias" in το 2015.

He has performed at many festivals in Greece and abroad.
