Thymios Papadopoulos was born in Lamia in 1957. He began his musical studies as a child. He studied law, music theory, clarinet and saxophone in Athens and New York City.

He has participated in many recordings as a musician, arranger, producer and composer. He has collaborated with artists such as Thanos Mikroutsikos, Phoivos Delivorias and Christos Thivaios and has written the music for more than 50 theater performances and films.

Together with Vangelis Katsoulis, he is a co-founder of the independent record company UTOPIA, having released many records of contemporary Greek music.

From 1992 to 2008 he worked as the production manager of SONY MUSIC Greece, and as the head of the record label AKTI.

He has also collaborated as a producer with almost all domestic record labels.
