Stelios Tsombanidis was born in Thessaloniki in 1983. His first contact with the rhythm was by his father, the drummer Dimitris Tsombanidis, at the age of 6.

He completed his musical studies at the Contemporary Conservatory and the Symphony Conservatory. He has attended seminars and music lessons by Dave Weckl, Peter Erskine, Lenny White, Horacio Hernadez and others.
He devoted himself to the study of various musical styles, rhythms and improvisations in jazz, fusion, funk, latin, rock, metal music, traditional and modern rhythms.

He has taught at the Conservatory of the Municipality of Sykea, at the Conservatory of Northern Greece, at the Toumba Conservatory of Costa Matsigou and at the Musicworkshop traditional & modern music. He is a co-founder of MusicWorkshop traditional & modern music in 2006.

In 2008 he released his first solo album "Spirit Grace (Tableau)".

In 2014 he founded and works at his own school and record company called AMS (About Music Studios & Lessons).
