John Floros

John Floros was born in Athens in 1960. He studied at the Athens Conservatory. At the age of 20 he was selected to join the EEC Youth Orchestra, under the direction of Claudio Abbado and worked with the National Opera, the Athens State Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Greek Radio.
He continued his studies with a scholarship at the Berklee College of Music. In the USA he studied with Alan Dawson, Max Roach and Lenny Nelson.
He collaborated with many Greek musicians, but also with international artists, such as Makoto Ozone, Antonio Hart, Terri Lyne Carrington, Wayne Dockery, Manny Boyd, Kirk Lightsey and Antonio Farao.
He died in 2022.
