Vardis Nick was born in Pireaus and from a very young age, he started his journey in the world of music, in the 70's. He started playing the guitar but pretty soon his interest truned to bass and the rock music of that time. 

When he was 20 years old he moved to Paris and there he attended classes of bass along with harmony lessons with Jef Gilson. In Paris he participated in various jazz ensembles as well as recordings of French musicians.

In 1986 he returned to Greece and he integrated into the Greek discography and music scene very quickly collaborating with well-known musicians. 

At the same time he started working together with jazz musicians such as Markos Alexiou, Lakis Zois, George Trantalides and Alex Foster. He has taken part in numerous recordings.
