Pianist and organist Katsaros Michalis was born in Chios in 1977. He studied piano with George Kontrafouris and improvisation with Sylvios Syrros at the Athenaum Conservatory. 

He started studying Johann Sebastian Bach in piano next to Anna Chalapsi. Under the guidance of Ourania Gassiou (organ) he speciαlized in Bach's music. Moreover, he has attended master classes with Nicolas Kynaston, Ton Koopman and Ullrich Böhme.

He works as a session musician in jazz ensembles.
