George Constantinou was born in Athens in 1992. He started being involved with music at the age of 7, fisrtly with classical piano and then gradually having lessons of music theory and classical composition. During high school, he started playing the bass with local rock bands while having his first bass lessons.

Ηe studied at the Department of Music Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. At the same time he was a student at the Athenaeum Conservatory and at the Yiorgos Fakanas Art Music School .

In 2013 he got his first Degree in Tonal Harmony and in 2014 his Degree in Counterpoint with Evangelia Velli-Kosma as his teacher. At that point he decided that he wanted to be a professional bass player so he continued studying with his bass teacher Yiorgos Fakanas as well as having regular private lessons with bass master Anthony Jackson.

In 2016 he got accepted at the Berklee College of Music with a full tuition scholarship and started his studies a year later.

In 2019, he got accepted at the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, directed by Danilo Pérez. He graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor in Jazz Performance. Αt Berklee he had the chance to study with some of the best and world renowned musicians and teachers, including: Danilo Pérez, John Patitucci, Joe Lovano, David Liebman, Ben Street, Adam Cruz, Linda May Han Oh, Bruce Gertz and many more.

In 2021 he continued his studies at a joint postgraduate program for young elite jazz performers and composers of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the prestigious EUJam (European Jazz Master).

He has taken part in numerous recordings. Some of the projects he has participated are:George Constantinou Sextet, Kaua’i `Ō`Ō, Toka Lili, One Inch Punch, Missigno, Ceramic Pig, Jemina Brechoire, La Culpa Cuban Trio, Rudy Roots, Egui Castrillo’s Mamdo Big Band, Eduardo Omondi, Autumn Jones, Tristan Simone, among many others.
