Terra Incognita were formed in Thessaloniki by the bass player Nektarios Karantzis with the pianist Antonis Aniseggos and the drummer Psofogiorgos Nikos.

The band, with different size and line-up each time, released three albums, combining free jazz and free improvisation with modern classical music.
