Lola Totsiou was born in Thessaloniki and started playing the piano at the age of five. She studied at the National Conservatory of Thessaloniki, the Music University of Heidelberg - Mannheim and the Ferenc Liszt Academy in Budapest.

She has performed at many concerts and festivals in Greece and abroad. Except for classical music she expressed her interest in jazz, modern music and indian music. Among others she has collaborated with Kyriakos Sfetsas, Theodor Mirisclavos and Michalis Siganidis.

She taught for more than 30 years at Thessaloniki conservatories and the Department of Music Science &Art of the University of Makedonia. Since 2011 she directs the National Conservatory of Thessaloniki.
