Jones Leroi
Blues People - Η μαύρη μουσική στη λευκή Αμερική / Blues People: Negro Music in White America
Blues, swing, gospel, jazz and rhythm 'n' blues are concepts that have entered our vocabulary, while at the same time we have become familiar with the names of Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, B.B. King and other great representatives of black music. However, many people have only a rather confused perception of all this. A large part of the relevant literature also bears a share of responsibility, where the issue of the birth and development of black music was dealt with either folklorically, with an obsession with tedious details for the non-specialist, or from a white intellectual point of view, which rounded perhaps its most interesting corners.
