Nikolas Tsangaris was born in Paphos, Cyprus in 2000. He studied drums under the guidance of Petros Kizas. He graduated from the Music High School of Paphos and then he was accepted into the Koninklijke Conservatorium Den Haag (Royal Conservatory of the Hague) and studied jazz drum performance under the tutelage of Eric Ineke, Stefan Kruger, and Felix Schlarmann.

He had the opportunity to showcase his skills as the drummer for the Royal Conservatory Big Band, led by the renowned Miho Hazama in 2021. In 2022 as the drummer of the Jong Metropole Orchestra he collaborated with the conductors Tom Cohen and Jochen Neuffer.

He is based in The Netherlands working with international bands as leader, co-leader and sideman.
