With core members Giannis Zarias (violin) and Michalis Katachanas (viola), Frog String performs as either a string trio or string quartet. The ensemble blends jazz with the musical traditions of the Balkans and Greece, combining them with the classical sound of a string ensemble.

Their debut album, Frog String Quartet & Friends, was released digitally in 2023.
