Tipou Trifonas was born in Thessaloniki in 1997. When he was 16 years old he earned a scholarship from the Greek German assembly and attended jazz and improvisation classes at the Detmold University in Germany (Hochschule fur Musik, Detmold). 

He studied classical piano with Nikos Zafranas, Fani Karagianni and nowadays he continues his studies at the class of Kostantinos Chardas. Also he attends the jazz deprtment of the Athenaum Conservatory next to Spyros Manesis. He has obtained a degree in Harmony and Fugue and he is a student at the School of Music Studies of the Aristotlle University of Thessaloniki.

The recent years he participates actively at the Athens' jazz scene as well as at other music scenes of the city playing with various groups.
