Andreas Theocharous was born and raised in Limassol, Cyprus. He started tuba lessons when he was 14 years old and became the principal tuba player in the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra.

In 2017, he collaborated with Scottish Opera and won the apprentice scheme to play side by side with musicians of the RSNO. That same year, he toured with Scottish Ballet across Scotland and England. He graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in the Tuba class of Andy Duncan and Anthony Swainson.

He has performed in Cyprus and abroad with many ensembles and has participated in numerous masterclasses. He is a founding member of Spitha Brass, Aura Brass Quintet and Karma Brass.
