Dimitris Tasainas studied vocals, improvisation, piano and jazz theory at the Jazz Department of the Athenaum Conservatory, with teachers such as Sylvios Syrros, Manos Theodosakis and Yiannis Papanastasiou.

From 2003 to 2010 he attended vocal and improvisation seminars in jazz, soul, rhythm n' blues, as well as modern greek song. From 2004 to 2006 he attended classical and then electric guitar studies at the F. Nakas Conservatory, as well as independent seminar courses on rock and blues (2000-2004). In 2007 he attended a seminar from the New School for Jazz & Contemporary Music in New York.

He participates in various musical groups. He composes his own songs and music for theater performances.
