Sofia Roubati was born and raised in Athens. She studied jazz saxophone at Middlesex University in London and continued with postgraduate studies in Music for Film and Media at New York University, where she was awarded the Alan Menken Scholarship.

She has composed music for films, documentaries, television series, and theatrical productions in Europe and the United States, with works that have been presented and recognized at international festivals.

She is the founder of the ensemble Yiasena and has participated in international collaborations, such as the Earth Orchestra Project at Abbey Road Studios.

In 2025, she released her first solo album, Reflections.
