The band Pyros Ether has an active presence in Greek scene 1994. While studying the Greek rhythms and traditional Greek music (from Epirus, Macedonia, Thrace) in combination with modern improvised music, the group has created original material, based on both compositions written by the band members and well-known themes from the Greek tradition and Jazz anthology.

Through this interaction, Thracean rhythms coexist with Latin ones, while traditional Greek dances, as kalamatianos and levendikos, are played in a jazzy mood, thus creating an effect of originality.

The group has released two albums, "Pyros Ether" in 2000 and "Anaflexis" in 2006.
