Angelos Polychronou
Angelos Polychronou was born in Athens in 1977. He started studying classical piano and music theory and graduated the Music School of Pallini. At the age of 17 he chose the percussion as his main instrument, with Vagelis Karipis as his teacher.
He has been working professionally since 1995. From 1997 to 2005 he was a member of the group Mode Plagal. He has organized or participated in many workshops with acclamed musicians, such as Glen Velez, Cabello και Ruven Ruppik. He has performed at many venues and festivals in Greece and abroad and he has collaborated with popoular artists such as Alkinoos Ioannidis, Dionysis Savvopoulos and Eleftheria Arvanitaki.
He was a founding member and teacher of the group samba reggae - samba afro and in 2014 he formed the Bloco Swingueira.
