Sophie Papakosma was born and raised in Athens. She started playing piano and classical guitar at a young age, but eventually she took up the bass, which she decided to pursue professionally in 2019, when she landed her first job as a musician on a cruise ship.

In 2023, she completed the three-year professional program of Lab Music Education (jazz direction) as an electric bassist, with teacher Giorgos Georgiadis, while also starting her first lessons on the double bass. Before completing the second year of her studies, she had already started working as a session musician, participating in live performances in music venues and theaters. She then became a member of Serafeim Bellos band, with whom they continue to collaborate to this day.

She has attended seminars with great artists of the international jazz scene, such as Curtis Lundy, Avishai Cohen and Essiet Okon Essiet, while he has collaborated with a multitude of musical artists in various genres, from jazz to indie rock and arthouse.
