Yiorgos Pantazopoulos was born in Athens and is a graduate of the Jazz Department of the Ionian University.

He started being involved with music at a very young age with classical guitar lessons. In 2017 he started his studies at the Jazz department of the Ionian University. During his student years he dedicated himself to becoming familiar with the Jazz tradition and how it translates to the double bass. He studied with an Erasmus scholarship at Codarts University Rotterdam (2021).

Since 2023 he participates in various bands as a leader or as a sideman. He is a founding member of the band Sunny Side Trio. His debut personal album was released in 2025.
